The love of dogs came to me at an early age. Throughout my life, I have shown dogs in conformation and obedience. First, as a 4H youngster and then later as an instructor. In my twenties I continued on, by showing dogs of another breed.
In 1980, I married my husband-Nick, and we purchased a 35-acre farm that came to be called Oakhaven Farm. A couple of years later, our first Labrador Retriever named Oakie, came into our life. I then chose Oakhaven Labradors for my kennel name and thus began my true love affair with the Labrador breed.
Today, in my fifties, I still continue to show my dogs in conformation and do an occasional Hunt Test. Thank you for stopping by to visit with my dogs, each is special and all have blessed my life.
